Typically covered
- Bodily Injury LiabilityPays for injuries you cause to others in an at-fault accident. Required in most states.
- Property Damage LiabilityPays for damage you cause to another person's vehicle or property.
- Collision CoveragePays to repair or replace your car after an accident, regardless of fault.
- Comprehensive CoverageCovers theft, vandalism, weather damage, animal strikes, and other non-collision incidents.
- Uninsured/Underinsured MotoristProtects you if hit by a driver with no insurance or insufficient coverage.
- Medical Payments (MedPay)Pays medical expenses for you and passengers, regardless of fault.
- Personal Injury Protection (PIP)Covers medical expenses plus lost wages and other costs. Required in no-fault states.
- Rental Car ReimbursementPays for a rental car while yours is being repaired.
- Roadside AssistanceCovers towing, flat tires, lockouts, and jump starts.
- Gap InsurancePays the difference between your car's value and what you owe on a loan.
